Cultivate the grassroots communities.
• As your Chairman I will continue to develop and cultivate
the grassroots community by creating an environment that is inclusive
and supportive of their initiatives. The party should be used
as a portal.
• Aggressively promote fundraising to increase strength
of the TDP.
• We need to make our party strong by promoting fundraising
and outreach events that are inclusive and profitable. Our organization
becomes stronger with a diverse community that participates in
affordable fundraisers.
• Increase opportunities for volunteer participation within
the party.
• Diversity in the party includes analyzing each individuals
capabilities and promoting opportunities that are viable to the
organization.
• Recruit qualified community activist and political strategist
for the party office. Actively recruit successful activist and
political strategist to fill key positions within the party.
• Promote & outline feasible strategies for GOTV {all
elections} in a timely manner.
• The party must get away from the strategy of containment,
which ensures that only predictable voters are at the polls. This
party’s responsibility is to promote voter participation
for all Democrats and not contain potential voters. My goal will
bring the voter that has been disenchanted to the table and make
the candidates accountable to all voters and not just a few.
• Provide continuous training for precinct chairs and campaign
volunteers.
• The responsibility of the county party is to ensure that
all precinct chairs and volunteers have the most information possible
and the proper tools to promote voting in the precincts.
• Partner and coordinate voter registration drives with
local organizations and the community.
• Work with organizations and develop partnerships that
utilize each other’s volunteers for GOTV through strategic
planning.
• Consistently promote community awareness on issues &
inform voters on the political process.
• Recruit candidates for all elected positions.
• Create an inclusive subcommittee for promoting and recruiting
candidates for all elected positions and members representative
of the population.
• Continue to provide easy access, up to date and timely
data to all Precinct Chairs and candidates.
• Create recognition awards for precinct chairs & volunteers.
• Increase voter turnout in low performing precincts by
promoting diversity and inclusion within the Texas Democratic
Party.
